Is JESUS Your Password?

In this Internet Age, we carry endless passwords around for email, Facebook, and a plethora of online accounts.  But in the end, the only Password that matters is JESUS CHRIST.  This article will list seven reasons why He should be your Password and Steps to make Him your Password so it counts in the end.  This is my attempt to share the Gospel from a different standpoint.

Before we delve into Jesus, let’s cover the Bible since this book is where all these claims are made and give an account of His Life and Death.  His Words and actions were also accounted here.  The Bible is the book that Christians read for instruction, encouragement, and supernatural guidance.  The bible is either the absolute True Word of God to you or it is just a storehouse of fabled adventure stories spanning 1500 years covering many characters including Jesus.

Russian Statistician and Harvard graduate, Ivan Panin studied and explored the numerical structure of the Bible, devoting over 50 years of his life generating over 43,000 pages of analysis.  He discovered that God is a mathematician!  The recurrence of the number seven or an exact multiple of seven is found throughout the Bible.  Examples include Solomon building the temple in seven years, Naaman washing in the river seven times for healing, and the seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpets, etc.  He also discovered numerical structure of the words themselves written by different authors who couldn’t possibly coordinate their numeric value before they were written.  An interesting fact is the crucifixion of Jesus took place at Golgotha, elevation = 777 meters above sea level.  After graduating Harvard in 1882, he converted from Agnosticism to Christianity; making Jesus his Password.

The Bible is the only religious book or any book or manuscript for that matter that predicts events (over 2,000) hundreds and thousands of years in advance and accurately fulfills them to a tee, utilizing a wide spectrum of people in different geographic locations.  It is the highest selling and most distributed book of all time.  It has been proven historically and archeologically.  Its consistency is short of miraculous since there are approximately 40 different writers, 66 books written in three different languages, that fit in one giant jigsaw puzzle; with one continual theme throughout -- God’s plan of salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Voltaire the famous French opponent of the Bible once said, “It took twelve ignorant fishermen to build Christianity, but I will show you how one Frenchman can destroy it." He spent the rest of his life trying to obliterate the Bible.  Ironically, only 50 years after Voltaire’s death, the Geneva Bible society used his printing press and his house to produce numerous Bibles.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.

Psalm 107:10-12
Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most  High, therefore He brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help.

Isaiah 59:13-14
In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.

Trying to argue the validity of the Bible is futile and can lead one to reach a similar fate as Voltaire.  So many others who chose to reject God and His Word have reaped similar endings.  This fact alone is proof enough for many to make Jesus their Password.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

1 - Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy
Jesus fulfilled approximately 456 prophecies written about Him in the Bible.  For one man to fulfill even 48 prophecies is impossible; unless He is God.

How does one "arrange" to be born in a specified city, in which their parents don't actually live? How does one "arrange" their own death - and specifically by crucifixion, with two others, and then "arrange" to have their executioners gamble for His clothing (John 16:19; Psalms 22:18)? How does one "arrange" to be betrayed in advance? How does one "arrange" to have the executioners carry out the regular practice of breaking the legs of the two victims on either side, but not their own? Finally, how does one "arrange" to be God? How does one escape from a grave and appear to people after having been killed?

Indeed, it may be possible for someone to fake one or two of the Messianic prophecies, but it would be impossible for any one person to arrange and fulfill all of these prophecies.  (www.biblebelievers.org.au)

To prove the unlikelihood of Jesus fulfilling the prophesies written about Him unless He was God Himself, we will use a scientific method called Probability.  Also known as "Odds", is a branch of mathematics that measures the likelihood that a given event will occur.  To simplify this mathematical probability, I am going to use a table originated by Peter Stoner, author of  “Science Speaks” who conducted the most amazing study using the principle of Probability.

The Probability Formula states:
The chance of one thing happening is "1 in M"
The chance of another independent thing happening is "1 in N"
Then the chance that they shall both happen is "1 in M x N"

Old Testament Prophecy
Probability or Odds
Christ to be born in Bethlehem
2.8 x 105 or 1 in 280,000
Forerunner of Christ
1 x 103 or 1 in 1,000
Christ to enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey
1 x 102 or 1 in 100
Christ to be betrayed by a friend
1 x 103 or 1 in 1,000
Christ to be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver
1 x 103 or 1 in 1,000
30 pieces of silver casted down and used to buy a potter's field
1 x 105 or 1 in 100,000
Although innocent, Christ kept silent when on trial
1 x 103 or 1 in 1,000
Christ crucified
1 x 104 or 1 in 10,000
Christ fulfilling all eight of these prophecies
1 x 1028 or 1 in 1 followed by 28 zeros
Christ fulfilling 48 prophecies
1 x 10157 or 1 in 1 followed by 157 zeros

Human Scenarios
Probability or Odds
You being struck by lightning in a year
7 x 105 or 1 in 700,000
You being killed by lightning in a year
2 x 106 or 1 in 2,000,000
You becoming president
1 x 107 or 1 in 10,000,000
You will eventually die
1 in 1

The probability of one man fulfilling all eight prophecies, the principal of probability is applied. Therefore, multiplying all eight probabilities together (1 times 2.8 x 105 x 103 x 102 x 103 x 103 x 105 x 103 x 104) gives us 2.8 x 1028, or for simplicity sake 1 x 1028 or 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. But, of course, there are many more than eight prophecies. In another calculation, Stoner used 48 prophecies and arrived at the extremely conservative estimate that the probability of 48 prophecies being fulfilled in one person is the incredible number 10^157.

How large is the number one in 10^157? 10^157 contains 157 zeros! Stoner gives an illustration of this number using electrons. Electrons are very small objects. They're smaller than atoms. It would take 2.5 TIMES 10^15 of them, laid side by side, to make one inch. Even if we counted 250 of these electrons each minute, and counted day and night, it would still take 19 million years just to count a line of electrons one-inch long.

From these figures, Professor Stoner, drew several conclusions, two being:
1 - “Any person who minimizes or ignores the significance of the biblical identifying signs concerning the Messiah would be foolish.”
2 - “Any man who rejects Christ as the Son of God is rejecting a fact, proved perhaps more absolutely than any other fact in the world.”

God so thoroughly vindicated Jesus Christ that even mathematicians and statisticians, who were without faith, had to acknowledge that it is scientifically impossible to deny that Jesus is the Christ.  (www.biblebelievers.org.au)

Isaiah 53:7-9
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.  And they made His grave with the wicked.

2 - He Paid for You

While we were still sinners Jesus died for us.  Being whipped, beaten, bullied, and tortured wasn’t all Jesus took for us.  He was also crucified and humiliated on the cross.  But this was not all.  The real anguish and suffering that Jesus experienced was not just the aforementioned, but that He took our sin upon Himself by drinking The Cup.  Someone spotless and sinless bore all our sins; for All of Mankind.  The Cup symbolizes God’s wrath that was meant for those whose sin is unaccounted for...like an open tab.

At the Garden of Gethsemane on the night He was betrayed, He was sweating blood and was pleading with God, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me...” (Matthew 26:39). Jesus was not just referring only to His impending death, but the cup that He would have to bear, which was to take all our sin upon himself.  He later commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” (John 18:11). He was not going to fight or allow His disciples to fight for His freedom.  During His crucifixion, there was three hours of darkness that day.  This is when He suffered most and drank that Cup. “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46).  The scripture doesn’t record what happened to Jesus those three hours as He hung on the cross.

Psalm 75:8
For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red;
It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth drain and drink down.

Jeremiah 25:15
For thus says the Lord God of Israel to me: “Take this wine cup of fury from My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.

Isaiah 51:22
Thus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, who pleads the cause of His people: “See, I have taken out of your hand the cup of trembling, the dregs of the cup of My fury; you shall no longer drink it.

Revelation 14:9-10
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

To fully comprehend God’s love for us, we must understand His holiness and the justice of His wrath. There is indeed payment for sin.  Jesus drank that Cup and paid our tab...In Full.

If you read the Bible like a story, it reads like this: God created the world, then He created Adam and Eve to enjoy it.  The most special place on earth was the Garden of Eden, because this is where they got to spend quality time with God.  However, the devil tempted them into sin and got them kicked them out of The Garden of Eden.  Their sin separated them from God and broke their fellowship with Him.  They no longer had the same access to God.  Meanwhile, thousands of years pass as the population explodes, leading to the triumphant birth of Jesus Christ.  He came to bridge the gap that was broken between God and man.  God made this happen.  During his ministry, Jesus performed miracles gaining thousands of followers, but didn’t want to be a circus act; He wanted people to realize He was God.  He became a threat to the elite and powerful, so they got rid of Him.  This too was part of God’s plan to bring glory to Himself.  Jesus was slain, hung on the cross, and died.   God sent His son to pay for our sins. This was the only ransom steep enough to pay for ALL sins once and for all. In the meantime, the devil, the ever present antagonist has been working around the clock to blind and distract many from the truth of what Jesus did and has done.  The bible goes into graphic detail on the power and the love of Christ, which He has bestowed on all of us who believe in Him.  It describes how many disciples of Christ went on to continue the work of bringing the good news of what Jesus accomplished on the cross.  This is called The Gospel. They shared this truth with the world while facing adversity, trials, and even death.  Then in the Third Act, Jesus returns to take His Bride, i.e. all the believers who have received Him as Lord and Savior and have served Him.  They will experience jubilation beyond comprehension, eternal life with heavenly bodies, and live happily ever after with God in Heaven, living in mansions and walking on streets of gold.  Unfortunately, the devil and all his cohorts get thrown into the Lake of Fire in Hell and get tortured day and night forever and ever.  And all of those who willfully rejected Christ and stubbornly refused to receive His free gift while living on this earth will spend an eternity with the devil in Hell.  The End.

Doesn’t this sound like a Hollywood plot...where the good live happily ever after and the bad suffer a fate worse than death?  However it’s not some fictional storyline or a Hollywood movie.  It’s REAL and we are pretty much near the Third Act of the story.  There’s an urgency here for the millions who do not know Him and are either being deceived or distracted from knowing the truth about who Jesus really is and what His real mission on this earth was really about.

3 - Hell is Real

Hell or Hades is an eternal place of never ending torment and punishment.  There will be unbearable heat, fire, and burning sulfur.  Only one in three adults believes that Hell actually exists.  Many people believe that God is so loving that He would never create such a horrible place.  Many of these same people also believe that when we die we don’t go to either heaven or hell; we will merely cease to exist.  There is a Spirit World and a Physical World at play here.  The bible goes into detail describing the two worlds.  People who don’t know Christ are only aware of the Physical World, because it is all they see with their eyes.  The Spirit World is not activated in the life of someone who does not know Him.  When someone dies, they see that person get buried into the ground and they never see or hear from that person again.  So much more takes place in the Spirit World that we don’t see in the Physical World.  This dead person’s spirit goes somewhere after their physical body dies.  Where their spirit goes is dependent upon whether they believed in Jesus Christ or not.  In Luke chapter 16, Jesus tells a parable about a rich man and a man named Lazarus.  Both die; one goes to Heaven, the other to Hell.  The story teaches about stewardship, vanity, and the validity of the Scriptures versus the testimony of the dead.  Point being is that Jesus spoke of Heaven and Hell like they were commonplace like Los Angeles and New York.  He also describes the Spirit World to illustrate what happens behind the scenes in the unseen Spiritual Realm. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.  This is exactly what the devil wants many of us to believe.

I’m sure if we caught a 30 second glimpse of what Hell really looks like in a movie trailer, we would run to God in a nanosecond.  It would probably look and sound like the worst horror movie imaginable.  But God wants us to go to Him on our own free will, not through coercion or fear.  It’s like having a pet who runs to you with sheer love and delight for you.  You don’t want your pet to be forced to love you.  Imagine what that would look like.  They would growl in protest and secretly plan their escape.  How much more God who loves us infinitely; He wants to gather His children who love Him wholeheartedly...not those with an ulterior motive; just to be saved from Hell.  Your pet goes to you regardless of what you look like or smell like.  You don’t have to entertain them or bring them treats every time.  Your presence alone gets them excited. Being hugged by you and sitting right next to you brings them joy, peace, and contentment.  This is what God wants from us.  Yet we are selfishly looking for what temporal treat we  can get in return for responding to Him.  The Bible says He is our great reward.  His presence alone is our reward, but the carnal man is looking for outward things to satisfy his flesh.  He views God as a cosmic caretaker.  God knows our hearts. He knows our words before we speak them.  He will discern the righteous from the unrighteous; the sincere from the insincere.  Even dogs can smell fear or discomfort in a person.  God is far more powerful than what people give Him credit for.  God created animals for us to enjoy.  He also created Hell to cast out evil where it belongs.

I’ve seen many testimonies on Youtube.com of people experiencing Hell and returning to testify.  Even then not all people believe them.  Which is what Jesus describes in His parable regarding the rich man and Lazarus.  There is so much unbelief out there from what is really happening and what is about to happen to mankind.  Jesus warns people on who to fear.  “Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.” (Luke 12:4-5)

The Bible warns us of the vast numbers who are going to perish. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14) “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.  When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from…” (Luke 13:24)

Does He know you?  Because it’s not enough that you know Him.  He can say He never knew you and cast you out.  There’s a saying in business: “It’s not just what you know, it’s who you know.”  Do you know Him?  But more importantly, does He know you?  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:21-23)

God’s first choice is that we spend eternity with Him, but there are many stubborn, prideful, human beings who believe they control their own destiny.  “It is not His will that many will face eternal damnation.  “Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:14)  The Bible is clear on what lies ahead for those who refuse to follow God and receive Jesus as their Password.  “He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.” (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9)

It would be foolish to believe that Hell isn’t real or that it already exists here on earth.  Hell is not only eternal separation from God, but it is endless suffering and pain for those who refuse to make Him their Password.  Bottom Line:  Death is an inevitable end for every human being and Hell is real.  Those who don’t have the correct password into Heaven are bound for Hell!

4 - He is the Only Way
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man comes to the Father except by me.” -- John 14:6

Ask yourself this question:
If you were the God of the universe who loved your children dearly, but needed to know which ones will faithfully love you, obey you, and serve you until the end…  Would you make a clear path giving them one way back to you or many paths to confuse them?

God sent His only Son to pay the price for sin for all.  John 3:16 is so well known that it’s become overlooked; but its simplicity speaks volumes.  “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son...that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.  This verse pretty much answers my question.  God created a clear sign pointing to His Son Jesus.  No one else!   “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

Jesus said it Himself.  “I am The Way….”  Not a way, but the only way to salvation. The way He lived in obedience and faithfulness; from His birth to His death.  His Father in Heaven appointed Him The Way.  The Only way for His children to reach Heaven.  “The Truth…”  He was not only true to the Word as His life embodied the Truth, but is Truth itself.  Anything opposed to Him is falsehood and will not stand.  “...And the Life.”  He is the author and source of Life.  He is Life Everlasting.  “No man comes to the Father except by me.”  He is the only Mediator who can plead with the Father on our behalf.  He is like our trial lawyer asking for pardon for our sins to grant us access into Heaven instead of what we deserve; eternal punishment in prison called Hell.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

In Revelation when Jesus returns, He says: “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”  Jesus holds the keys to Hell and death.  He is the only Password to be had!

5 - If You Are Not For Him, You Are Against Him
There is no neutral ground or nonpartisan party you can join when it comes to the Kingdom of God.  You have to make a conscious choice.  Every person living in this planet comes to this juncture one time or another in their life.  You are either for Jesus and against the devil or against Jesus and for the devil.  You have either received Jesus’ gift of salvation through His blood or you have not.  May I remind you that not receiving Him as Lord and Savior of your life is flat out rejecting Him.

His life, death, and resurrection requires every man, woman, and child to make a decision.  Reading this article is one such juncture.  When you stand at the judgment seat of God someday, He will bring to your remembrance this article and your chance to respond to it.  Every person will have their day in court; however, they will not have a chance to plead their case to change the verdict once it has been made.  There is a limited window of opportunity to respond.  That window is during your lifetime.  After that, there’s nothing even Jesus can do.  That is how God set it up since the beginning.

There has been a clear battle between Jesus and the devil for thousands of years, which has been clearly illustrated in the bible.  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Matthew 12:30
He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

In this passage, Jesus draws a clear line between Himself, His objective, and the opposition of the devil and his wicked schemes.  He is the Good Shepherd that gathers His sheep to Himself and into His fold.  Satan is the wolf who catches and scatters the sheep.  He seeks to kill and destroy them and their faith in Christ.  Anyone who is not concerned with gathering His sheep with Him is against His Work and is deemed working with the enemy as a scatterer.

Ezekiel 34:12
As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.

6 - You will bow down and confess that He is God
Whether you like it or not, in the end, you will bow down to Him and confess He is God.  Romans 14:11 says, “For it is written: “As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”  The only difference is, your fate will be determined by whether you bowed down and confessed His Lordship before or after you died.  You can concede now or later.  Keep in mind that if you wait the last minute, He will know your sincerity and authenticity.  He knows your heart and motives. He is God!  He will not be mocked.  He will judge you.  As mentioned earlier, there is no chance for salvation once you’re in Hell.  In the parable that Jesus told about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16, there was no way the rich man can escape from Hell once he got there.  Even Satan himself will bow down.  All his evil cohorts will bow down too.

Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…”

7 - The Ending has already been determined
We have already established that the Bible is irrefutable.  We have also concluded through the Bible that Jesus is the only way to Heaven.  The Bible has also given us the final chapter of mankind.  So here is a sneak peek of The End: God wins and the devil loses!  So if you have not made JESUS your password, you are on the losing team.

7 Reasons Why to Make JESUS Your Password
1 - Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy
2 - He Paid For You
3 - Hell is Real
4 - He is The Only Way
5 - If You Are Not For Him, You Are Against Him
6 - You Will Bow Down and Confess He is God
7 - The Ending Has Already Been Determined

Jesus may have many names such as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the Prince of Peace, but in the End, He is a Righteous Judge waging war on the nations with an iron fist, with the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  He will no longer be the gentle Lamb of God, but the roaring Lion.

Revelation 19:11-21
I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  ...And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.  And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

The end isn’t pretty for those who reject Jesus Christ.  It’s actually pretty gruesome. I am not only referring to the blatantly wicked murderers and evildoers, but also the self righteous, self deluded ones who ignored what Jesus did on the cross on their behalf.

Time is running out
We are in the final chapter, the third act.  Look around you. The signs are all around. I used to scoff when a preacher spoke of the end times being upon us about 15 years ago, but now I am a firm believer that we are indeed living in the last days.

All the upheaval concerning Israel, the fallout of many industries, global economic collapse experienced worldwide, natural disasters that are displacing thousands, and increased wickedness, immorality, and self-righteousness.  These are the signs that have caught my attention.  It’s only going to get worse.  If you knew of the upcoming catastrophes and grim events being planned, you would sober up quickly, repent, and get on your hands and knees this instant.

Until recently, I haven’t really been paying close attention like some end time scholars are to the “Signs”.  The Bible describes many of these events…  2 Timothy:31-4 takes the cake: “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…”

Luke 21:11
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Matthew 24:6-7
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

Zechariah 12:3
And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

Now is the time to repent and receive Jesus as your Password!  For the end is drawing near.  “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (Matthew 3:2) I might sound like a sidewalk prophet, but I am only fulfilling my mandate as a Follower and Soldier of Christ to gather His people.  You are a finite being running from an infinite God who has been chasing you all along.  Call upon Him and He will save you!

Romans 10:13
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Psalm 145:19
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.

Entrance into heaven is not a group effort.  It’s an individual effort that requires a person to have a sound mind to repent, confess, and receive the gift of eternal salvation.  Just because your mother, wife, or cousin knows Jesus Christ and you attended church with them once, doesn’t gain you entrance.  Just because you felt conviction once and said a prayer doesn’t guarantee you access to eternal life in heaven.  Faith is not transferrable.  You cannot transfer your faith unto your children like you can will your estate to them.  They have to gain access into heaven on their own account.  We enter this world alone, we leave it alone, just like we are buried alone.  We are also judged as we stand alone before God at the Judgment Seat someday.

Jesus is knocking at the door to your heart.  He won’t barge in or force His way in.  As I mentioned earlier, He is looking for our total will and surrender to Him.  Won’t you let Him in?

Revelation 3:19-21
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

1 - Confess
Admit you are a Sinner...a finite being with a finite end.  Today you can control what you eat, wear, watch, etc., but you cannot control the number of your days.  You cannot control what happens

Romans 10: 9-10
...If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 - Receive Him and Invite Him into your life by saying a Prayer like this:
Lord Jesus, Come into my life.  I am a sinful person in need of a savior.  Thank you for dying for my sins and loving me before I even knew you.  Please forgive me for all my wrongdoings.  I repent and turn from my old ways.  I believe with all my heart that you have forgiven me and have cleansed me from all unrighteousness through the shedding of your blood.  From this day forward I promise to turn to you for all my needs.  Be the Lord of my life.  I believe that you came to not only give me salvation, but also life more abundantly.  For this I am eternally grateful.
In Jesus’ Name,
AMEN!

If you said this prayer in total surrender and contrition, Congratulations!  You have just made JESUS your Password!  You have been saved by Faith and not of your own works.  All we have to do is receive His free gift.  Jesus already did all the work on Calvary.  Don’t forget that! What you do afterwards, is your statement of faith and obedience to Him as His disciple.

3 - Obey Him by becoming a Disciple
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Steps to Becoming a Disciple of Christ
1 - Buy a Bible...read it and start attending bible studies.

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

2 - Attend a Bible Based church that teaches sound doctrine.
Making JESUS your password means taking up your cross and following Him, even if it means leaving your non-bible believing/teaching church. This life is not about popularity or being accepted by man or belonging to a religion.  The only acceptance that really matters is being accepted by God into heaven through Christ.

Matthew 10:32
Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

3 - You Are Made New
As you start reading your bible and spending real time with God, He will reveal many things to you like what you are doing wrong.  He will convict your heart through The Holy Spirit.  He will give you a new heart that can discern good from bad, and lies from truth.  You will no longer enjoy your old vices.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

4 - Fellowship with Other Believers
As a new believer, you need to fellowship with other believers to encourage you, lift you up, and pray for you.  They are your new family.  If you want to succeed and keep from falling away from the faith, you must stay close to the Family of God.  In these end times, nothing delights the devil more than to cause a child of God to fall from the faith. Those who have fallen have one thing in common.  They no longer fellowship with other believers and have reverted back to their old patterns. They justify and rationalize why following the Christian faith is too hard or not convenient.  This is why Jesus said, take up your cross and follow me.  Walking in Faith requires the power of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with other believers.

Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Christmas Prayer
In the hustle and bustle of this Christmas season, take a moment to remember that Jesus is the true reason for the season.  It’s easy to get caught up in the commercialism and traditions thus forgetting the true meaning of Christmas.  This season is a time of reflection, thankfulness, and celebration of the birth of the King and Savior with our family and friends...instead of focusing on what gift we are expecting under the tree, the office parties, holiday sales, or snagging the latest electronic gadget.

Just recently 28 people died in an elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.  20 of them were young children.  It is a harsh reminder of the evil that dominates and lives in this world and the fragility of life that many squander and take for granted. Take time to be thankful for what you already have, instead of what you don’t have.  I’m sure all of the parents who lost their child during this tragedy would trade anything to have him/her around on Christmas Day.  The grief of not having their child open their presents under the tree is overwhelming to say the least.  My heartfelt prayers go out to the parents, families, and friends of the victims who have to grieve and bury their loved ones during this Christmas season...especially the ones who don’t know Jesus.  I pray that through this tragedy, He will be glorified and be their Comforter and Peace during this sad occasion.  May He also restore their Joy due time.

In the same vane, God grieves over His children who have not received His gift that He offers us continuously.  Jesus is His eternal gift to humanity.  All we have to do is receive Him.  He offers us eternal life and life abundantly.  If you haven’t already made Him your password, may you unwrap Him and receive Him as your King and Savior during this Christmas season.

May God Bless You and Keep You!
