A New Year, A New You...But In Christ: Renewal and Power Come Every Morning!

Many books and articles are being released to inspire people to become new or renewed for the New Year.  This is a natural progression since the New Year represents a new dawn, a new era, a new beginning.  However, the Bible tells us that God gives us new blessings every morning and that we can be renewed by the transforming of our minds anytime. We don’t have to wait for a New Year to become New or transformed in Christ.  Right now is a good place to start, so if you failed to start on January 1^st, today is a good time as any.  In Christ, we could start anytime and any place.  We have a Supernatural God who can strengthen and empower us anywhere we go; through the power of the Holy Spirit!  In fact, there are powers we have that the devil would prefer would stay locked and hidden from us.

So for all of those who have been saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus, you have more power and authority than you think!  We can do ALL things in Christ who strengthens us.  The following is a list of scriptures that have been personalized.  To become new, renewed, and empowered, we should not only meditate on these, but read them out loud and declare them to ourselves daily!  

In CHRIST…

I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new!  -- 2 Corinthians 5:17

I walk in newness of life -- Romans 6:4

I will increase all the more in strength proving Jesus is the Christ 

--Acts 9:22

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.  He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. -- Psalm 40:2-3

I am dead to sin, but alive in Christ -- Romans 6:11

I have no condemnation because I am in Him  -- Romans 8:1

I no longer walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; I shall mount up with wings like eagles, I shall run and not be weary, I shall walk and not faint.

As you have read above, where much power and authority is given, much is expected.  He gave us His Mind and His Power as well as share in His sufferings and tribulations.  We were bought for a price not to sit around, but to share His Gospel to the unsaved, be His Hands, Feet, and Heart to the poor and lowly.  May this revelation of power, authority, and never ending renewal of your strength be used for His Glory in 2013!
